The Senate on Thursday rejected Ahmed Bello as a Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission from Zamfara State.
The Senate however confirmed the appointment of Rufus Akeju from Lagos State and Ahmed Bello Mahmud from Kebbi State.
The Senate’s decision was sequel to the report submitted by Chairman of Senate Committee on INEC, Senator Suleiman Nazif, which was seconded by Senator Gbenga Ashafa.
