A former representative of Abia North Senatorial District, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, has lost his wife, Lady Nimi Faith Ohuabunwa.
The former Senator, who was in the 8th Senate, confirmed the development on Monday in a statement on his Facebook page.
According to available information, Lady Ohuabunwa has been ill for a long time and died in an Abuja hospital over the weekend.
Senator Ohuabunwa said in the statement on Monday: “On a very sad note but in total submission to the will of God Almighty, my beloved wife and doting mother to our lovely children has gone to be with our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ!
“She passed away peacefully on the 22nd of July 2023.
“We seek your prayers at this very difficult time for our family.”
Meanwhile, the incumbent representative of Abia North Senatorial District, Orji Uzor Kalu, has extended his condolences to Ohuabunwa over the death of his wife.
Kalu, in a statement, said: “It’s with a heavy heart that I received the news of your wife’s demise.
“The loss of a woman who was a significant part of your life, being the mother of your children, is particularly a deep pain to handle.
