The Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungabde, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the 2014 Eid Kabir celebration.
The monarch urged those at the helm of affairs of the country to be selfless in discharging their duties to the people.
In a statement signed by his Principal Secretary, Toyin Ajamu, Oba Oyewumi said: “This season calls for appraisal individually and as a nation.
“We need to dedicate our lives to the teachings and lessons of the holy Qur’an.
“Again, I congratulate Muslims on this year’s celebration.
“As the country prepares for the 2015 elections, politicians should respect the people’s will by playing the game by the rule.”
Oba Oyewumi urged Nigerians not to engage in social vices as they celebrate Sallah.
