Rivers NBA pledges support to Acting Chief Judge

The Rivers State chapter of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria have pledged their cooperation to the state’s Acting Chief Judge, Justice Peter Agumagu.
They made the pledge during a solidarity visit to Agumagu in Port Harcourt on Friday.
It would be recalled that Governor Chibuike Amaechi appointed Agumagu, who was the President of the Rivers State Customary Court, as the acting chief judge of the state.
The NBA Chairman, Lawerence Oko-Jaja, who spoke on behalf of the NBA members, urged the acting chief judge to sustain the cordial relations existing between the NBA and his predecessor, Justice Iche Ndu.
Oko-Jaja appealed for quick dispensation of justice in the state.
Granville Abibor, who spoke on behalf of the Body of SAN, urged Agumagu to replicate his developmental strides in his new position.
Abibor urged the acting chief judge to make his office accessible both to lawyers and workers of the judiciary.
Agumagu, in his response, commended the association on their visit and assured them of his cooperation.
He also urged them to work diligently as a team, for the growth and development of the bar.
