Real want £100m Van de Beek

Real Madrid are reportedly leading the chase to sign £100 million-rated Ajax star Donny van Beek – just months after Manchester United snubbed signing him for just a third of the price.
The Red Devils rejected the chance to sign the star after being quoted just £35 million in the summer.
And now La Liga side Real Madrid are keeping up their efforts to land the Holland international, according to the Sunday People .
They were linked with a move for the 22-year-old in the last transfer window but Zinedine Zidane was still keen on signing Paul Pogba.
Van Beek has rose to prominence in recent seasons, notably in the last campaign where was part of the Ajax team that reached the Champions League semi-final.
Indeed, he netted the only goal in the first leg win at Tottenham before a Luca Moura hat-trick dumped them out in the second leg.
United targeted Van Beek when it seemed like they were going to lose Pogba to either Real Madrid or Juventus .
But they reeled back their interest when Ajax quoted them a price and the club decided that Pogba was staying at Old Trafford.
Van Beek is keen to further his career at one of Europe’s big boys but insisted recently that he would not leave Ajax midway through the season.
“I don’t want to leave during the winter break. I play here all season, I finish at Ajax this year,” Van de Beek told Dutch outlet VI.
“That gives me clarity and tranquility. What happens after that, I see. Whether they know that in Madrid? Everyone knows that.
“Maybe someday in my career it will happen that I switch club during the winter break, but now I don’t like it.
“You fight with a team for something and then you go halfway to another club. I want to pop again at Ajax this season.”
