Flykite Productions, promoters of the GOtv Boxing Night, has announced its decision to give former Commonwealth Flyweight boxing champion, Ray Amoo, 25 per cent of gate takings at the fourth edition of the event, which held last Sunday at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Lagos.
An announcement to this effect has been made by Jenkins Alumona, the CEO of Flykite Productions.
Amoo, said Alumona, was one of the people who put Nigeria on the global boxing map through his exploits in the ring and is thus deserving of the gesture to be extended to him.
In July, after the third edition of the tourney, the same gesture was extended to Dele Jonathan, a former boxing champion, who required surgery for prostate enlargement.
GOtv Boxing Night, which produced another millionaire boxer in Otto “Joe Boy” Joseph, is sponsored by GOtv and supported by MultiChoice, SuperSport, Newsbreak.ng, Complete Sports, Brilla FM and Bond FM.
