Rangers Technical Adviser, Okeh Emordi, has told The Eagle Online Sports that his team would eventually win the Nigeria Professional Football League this season.
In a chat after his team walloped the league defending champions, Kano Pillars, 4-0 in Week 8 fixture of the ongoing 2013/2014 Nigeria Professional League season, Emordi said happily: “It was fantastic to beat the defending champions 4-0.
“I even have to applaud Pillars for fighting hard to prevent harvest of goals.
“It could have been more than four goals.
“Our ambition is to win the Premier League we missed narrowly last season.”
Also, new entrants, Nembe City, owned by deposed Nigeria Premier League boss, Rumson Victor Baribote, also spanked visiting Gombe United 2-0 and he praised his team for the wonderful performance.
“Nembe City parades some of the unknown and young players in the Premier League. They compensated for their last outing which was bad. But they are a team that are just coming up. I hope they can keep up the momentum,” Baribote told The Eagle Online Sports on Saturday.
Sharks Coach, Gbenga Ogunbote, was happy that his team spanked Bayelsa United 2-1.
Ogunbote sayd: “I believe the boys are gradually picking up and with hard work on our side we will not disappoint at the and of the league. But the team is a work in progress”.
