Members of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party on Thursday defied the Chairman of BoT, Walid Jibrin, as they joined the campaign of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, in Jos, Plateau State.
The PDP BoT had advised its members not to not pitch tent with any aspirant for elective positions ahead of the 2019 elections.
Jibrin had said as members of the BoT and the conscience of the party, the members should not move about with any aspirant.
However, some members of the BOT defied the directive of the Chairman of the BOT as they were inaugurated as members of National Presidential Nomination Council.
The members of the team have been going round to canvass for votes in their various States.
Among BOT members that were part of Abubakar’s campaign are Okwesilieze Nwodo, Chief Emmanuel Iwanyanwu, Senator Stella Omu, Vincent Ogbulafor, former Governor Ibrahim Shema of Katsina State and Senator Ben Obi.
