The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has announced the dissolution of the State Executive Committees of the party’s chapters in Adamawa and Ebonyi States.
A statement on Tuesday by the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Olisa Metuh, confirmed the development.
Metuh said this was in furtherance of the party’s resolve to maintain discipline and run a responsible party.
He said the decision was taken at the NWC’s emergency meeting on Tuesday.
He said the SECs were dissolved “for grave and inimical conducts, and acts capable of disorganizing and undermining good conduct of the party in these states”.
The statement by Metuh added: “The NWC directs all members of the party in the affected states to disregard the publications of the results of the ward congresses made by those two state executives as not authorized and coming from proper custody.”
