Iba Adams, in a statement by his Special Assistant on media, Kehinde Aderemi, said he rejoiced with the governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke and the good people of Ijeshaland on the ascension of the new monarch, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III,
He prayed God and the Yoruba ancestors to protect and preserve the monarch, bless him with long life, good health and signpost his reign with phenomenal success, peace, prosperity and joy for Ijesaland, all Ijesas, at home and abroad, and indeed for Yorubaland.
“Now that the contest is over, I implore your majesty to extend the olive branch to all aggrieved contestants, cement all cracks, and bring everybody together for the arduous task of continuing the trajectory of progress that hallmarked the tenure of your predecessor, His Imperial Majesty, the late Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II.

“Kabiesi, Ijesaland is too important and too strategic to the progress and overall good of Yorubaland to be left in the limbo.
“Therefore, as your majesty settles down on the throne, we urge you to show love to your subjects, and work closely with fellow Obas, not only in the Osun State Council of Obas where you are the Deputy Chairman, but also across Yorubaland.
“As the Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba land, I promise to do all within my power to support your majesty to ensure your success on the throne, as we work together for the unity, peace and advancement of Yorubaland and Nigeria as a whole”, he stated.
