The Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK) Foundation, a non-governmental organisation, has congratulated its founder, Senator Orji Kalu, on his victory at the Abia State National Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal.
The Director-General of the Foundation, Rev. Jemaimah Kalu, said this in a statement she issued on Friday.
In it, Rev. Kalu described the judgement as a true reflection of the will of the constituents.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the National Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal sitting in Umuahia had on Tuesday upheld the victory of the representative of Abia North Senatorial District in the February 25, 2023 polls.
The statement by the OUKF said: “Our movement worldwide gratefully thank God on the victory of our founder distinguished Senator Orji Uzor Kalu at the election tribunal on September 12.

A three-man panel led by Justice Samson Paul-Gang in its unanimous ruling had dismissed the petitions of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Mao Ohuabunwa and Labour Party’s Nnamdi Iro for lack of merit.
Kalu, who currently presides as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Privatisation and Commercialisation, was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
He scored 30,805 votes to defeat Iro and Ohabunwa, who came second and third respectively.
