Super Eagles’ defensive midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi, has sustained another knee injury, which will keep the SS Lazio star out of action for 10 days, The Eagle Online has exclusively gathered.
Lazio’s head of orthopaedic, Lovati Stefanom in an interview, disclosed that the youngster will take 10 days rest after sustaining an injury during a pre-season game.
Lovati explained: “Onazi reported a distraction to the internal collateral ligament but don’t worry he should be back in about 10 days.
“Distraction of the first to the internal collateral ligament in his right knee, the same one that was injured in mid-June and that prevented him from playing the Confederations Cup.”
The AFCON 2013 winner, who broke his knee in the first minutes of the friendly against the Spice, said; “Seven to 10 days of complete rest.
“I will return to play in 10 to 15 days.”
Onazi will return to minimal training as he expected to feature in the Super Cup final against Juventus.
