Super Eagles’ midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi, has agreed a new deal worth N2 billion per season to remain at SS Lazio of Italy.
The 21-year-old midfielder has been in the senior squad since July 2012 and his current contract is set to expire in June 2016.
According to report from Italy, a deal was struck with agent Jonathan Barnett on Saturday and will be announced over the weekend.
The extension will be until June 2018, with wages worth €0.7 million (N2 billion) per season, though there should also be a buy-out clause for €10 million.
‘Eddy’ Onazi is a Nigerian international with one goal and 21 caps.
He has been linked with a move to the Premier League or Bundesliga in recent months.
