Super Eagles’ head coach, Sunday Oliseh, and Captain Vincent Enyeama were involved in an altercation after the goalie was ordered out of camp for arriving late.
The goalkeeper, who demanded to be heard first before being thrown out by Oliseh, refused to bulge, a situation which allegedly forced the coach to call in the security to bundle Enyeama out.
The issue was however put under checks by officials of the Nigeria Football Federation, who pleaded for the goalkeeper to remain in camp ahead of Thursday’s game against Congo DR.
Spokesman of the Nigeria Football Federation, Ademola Olajire, confirmed the development.
Olajire said the matter had been resolved.
He said: “There was a little misunderstanding but it has been resolved and all is well in the camp of the Super Eagles in Belgium.”
It would be noted that the Lille goalkeeper buried his late mother, Lucy, at the weekend, a situation that informed his late arrival in camp.
Enyeama last featured for the country in a 2017 AFCON qualifier at home against Chad in June and his arrival puts to rest questions regarding his international future after he fell out with the country’s football officialdom around that time.
