A former Deputy President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Okechukwu Isiguzo, has died in France after multiple surgeries.
The death of the former National Youth Leader of the apex Igbo socio-political organisation was confirmed in a statement issued on Wednesday.
According to the statement issued by the General Secretary of the Igbo Union in Toulouse, France, Ogbonna Hillary Ogbonna, a close family member of Isoguzo, Chief Emeka Isiguzo, shared the heartbreaking news on Wednesday.
According to Ogbonna, the younger Ishiguro revealed that the former deputy president died on Wednesday after enduring multiple surgeries at Hospital Ranguiel in Toulouse.

Emeka said: “Our hearts are heavy.
“Today marks a profoundly black Wednesday for the Igbo community globally.
“The loss is unimaginable.”
The Igbo Union in Toulouse has joined in mourning the departure ofIsiguzo.
Ogbonna said: “We are devastated by this tragic loss, yet we must find solace in our faith and trust in the Almighty.
“As we reflect on his legacy, we honour Chief Isiguzo’s unwavering dedication to the Igbo cause.
“Further details regarding memorial arrangements will be communicated in due course.”
