The Ogun Police Command has paraded notorious cultists, affirming that it would not rest on its oars, in effort to flush out the criminal elements in the State.
This is happening as the new State Police Commissioner CP, Alamutu Abiodun Mutaspha began the traditional courtesy visit to eminent personalities, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo and security stakeholders in the Gateway State.
CP Alamutu, according to the Command’s Public Relations Omolola Odutola, also visited the Chief Judge of the State, Justice MA Dipeolu in her office.
During the visit, Justice Dipeolu echoed more on technology driven policing and more recruitment of young willing men and women into the Nigeria Police Force to make up for the incessant outcry for lack of manpower.
“Mama”, as she is fondly called told the CP that case files that are without proper prosecutions would not serve the desired ends in Court and as such, the suspects would be released if there were no quantum evidences to the alleged crime, calling on sustainable investigating skills for IPOs to match detailed case files that would supply enough evidence for the Court.

The CP promised the CJ an improved security in the State and smart working orderlies.
Alamutu took notes from other security agencies to brainstorm and chart a new course on the way forward in combating the new waves of crime and build on the successes of his predecessors.
Other notable personalities the Commissioner visited were: Brigadier General MT Aminu, the Commander, 35 Artillery Brigade, Nigerian Army, Alamala Barracks, Abeokuta.
In response to the CP’s concerns who hinted on security of lives and properties, Brigadier General Aminu, pledged his support in the area of joint operations, promising he would make sure Alamutu succeeds, as well as initiate crash programme that will be scheduled between the Nigerian Army and Nigeria Police, as soon as the Commissioner concludes his tour.
Commander Hassan Baba Yusuf, Commandant Nigerian Navy Secondary School Abeokuta, Femi Aaron, State Director of Security (SDS), Ogun State Command, Comptroller Nigeria immigration Service, Olufunmilayo Bosede, Commandant David Idowu Ojelabi were other personalities visited by the CP.
Alamutu also visited the State’s Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC.
While there, he gathered credible intelligence that will assist him to pilot the state, towards dealing with the unrepentant criminally minded persons.
In a related development, CP Alamutu honored an invitation from the Nigeria Union of Journalist NUJ as part of the events of his familiarisation.
During the visit, he condemned cultism, rape, kidnapping and armed robbery, promising to stem the menace.
He called on landlords in Ogun State to begin to digitise the information of their tenants.
Those in attendance used the opportunity to affirm their support to the CP.
