The International Police Organisation has handed over to Nigeria the mastermind of the April 14, 2014 bomb blast in Nyanya, the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Aminu Oguche.
The Defence Headquarters, in the information provided on its Twitter handle on Tuesday, confirmed the development.
Oguche was said to be the brain behind the Nyanya bombing in which no fewer than 118 persons were confirmed dead.
Ogunche was apprehended in Sudan.
Since then, there has been apprehension over his repatriation to Nigeria.
The Nigerian authorities explained that the delay was caused by protocols that are observed in such processes.
However, on Tuesday, the Defence Headquarters confirmed the arrival of Ogwuche in Nigeria.
He was said to have been brought into the country through the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The tweet reads: “Bombing Mastermind Ogwuche delivered to Nigerian Security by @INTERPOL_HQ. Received in Abuja Airport & taken to custody.”
Aminu was said to be a deserter in the Nigerian Army.
