The market capitalisation of the Nigerian Stock Exchange rose by N94 billion or 0.82 per cent on Friday as major stocks recorded price gains.
The market capitalisation closed higher at N11.53 trillion against the N11.43 trillion recorded on Thursday.
Also, the All-Share Index, which opened at 35,891.90, appreciated by 296.82 points to close at 36,188.72.
UACN led the gainers’ chart by N4.70 to close at N60.80 per share.
Nigerian Breweries followed with N3.01 to close at N165 per share, while PZ Cusson grew by N2 to close at N37 per share.
Dangote Cement and Oando appreciated by N1 each to close at N190 and N11 per share respectively.
On the other hand, Total led on the losers’ chart by N5.65 to close at N151.35 per share.
Mobil depreciated by N4.50 to close at N110 per share, while Jos International Breweries lost 74k to close at N6.66 per share.
FCMB dipped by 22k to close at N3.66 per share, while EternaOil fell by 14k to close at N2.68 per share.
In all, investors exchanged a total of 300.01 million shares worth N1.9 billion in 4,659 deals.
This was against the 356.01 million shares valued at N3.5 billion traded in 5,312 deals on Thursday.
