The Chairman of Kwara United FC, Oladimeji Thompson, has appealed to fans of the club to exercise patience and continue to give the team the necessary support to excel in the league.
Thompson made the appeal in a statement issued in Ilorin on Monday by the Media Officer of the club, Abdulwaheed Bibire.
Go Round FC of Omoku, Rivers, had forced Kwara United to a 1-1 draw in a Match Day 18 of the Nigeria Professional Football League in Ilorin on Sunday.
Thompson, however, said the management had taken necessary steps to ensure that the team returns to winning ways.
He added that top players would be recruited to beef up the team in its areas of deficiency.
Thompson said: “We are exploring the opportunity of the transfer window market and I can assure you that we are going to bounce back to our rightful position in the NPFL.”
He thanked the fans and other stakeholders for rallying round the team in its trying period, stressing that “their concern is a testimony that Kwara United FC is very dear to the people of the state’’.
