Heartland Football Club of Owerri on Sunday forced hosts, Kano Pillars, to a goalless draw in a 2015/2016 Nigeria Professional Football League Match Day 17 fixture.
The match, played at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, attracted the usual large turnout.
Both teams gave a good account of themselves with good display of skills, but they had no goals to show for their efforts.
In a post-match interview, Coach Babaganaru Muhammad of Kano Pillars praised his players for their performance.
Muhammad said: “The match is a good one, since both teams tried all their best to score and the match still ended goalless.
“We failed to convert all our goal scoring chances and our opponents also lost chances, but ours is on the high side.
“I believe we will improve in our next game.”
