The ad hoc committee on the Nigeria National League on Wednesday resolved that the league action be suspended for two weeks to allow the Disciplinary Committee and the Appeals Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation dispense the various cases before them.
In a communique signed by the Chairman, Alloy Chuwkuemeka, the Committee frowned at the spate of violence at match venues, noting that no football match is worth the blood or life of any Nigerian.
The committee further stated that all clubs shall write a commitment of non violence letter of guarantee at all match venues, which must get to the NNL secretariat within seven days on receipt of this notice.
It was however resolved that the league action will resume on September 3 after the determination of all cases before the NFF judicial bodies, just as they warned that no club indebted to the league will be allowed to play their three remaining matches.
