No fewer than nine persons have been confirmed dead in a boat mishap off the coast of Calabar, Cross River State.
According to information made available by the National Emergency Management Agency on Tuesday, the accident occurred 40 nautical miles off the Coast of Calabar.
Two survivors have been taken to the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital.
The Head of Public Relations of NEMA, Yushau Shuaib, said the suspicion is that the boat was coming from Congo.
