The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has predicted sunny and hazy weather conditions over the central States of the country on Tuesday.
NiMet made the prediction in the Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Monday.
It added that the region would have day and night temperature of 29 to 36 degrees Celsius and 15 to 20 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The agency predicted that the Southern states would experience sunny and hazy conditions over the inland of the southwest and southeast with day and night temperatures of 33 to 35 degrees Celsius and 16 to 24 degrees Celsius, respectively.
It also predicted early morning mist and fog patches over the coastal cities with partly cloudy conditions later in the afternoon and evening hours.
According to NiMet, northern states will be experience dust haze with horizontal visibility of two to five kilometres and day and night temperature of 28 to 31 degrees Celsius and 9 to 18 degrees Celsius, respectively.
NiMet predicted: “Nguru, Maiduguri, Damaturu, Potiskum and Yola may witness isolated visibility of less than or equal to 1000m in the next 24 hours.
“Dust haze conditions are expected over the northern cities of the country, while some places may likely witness localised visibility values of less than or equal to 1000m in the next 24 hours.”
