NIMET predicts foggy weather for January 17, 18

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has predicted partly cloudy conditions in the coastal area of the southern states.
NIMET also predicted that there might be chances of fog or misty conditions during the morning hours of Friday and Saturday.
This forecast for January 17 and 18 was contained in the weather report obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos.
The Meteorology Manager at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Mary Iso, told NAN that there would be some precipitation coming from the ocean.
Iso, while giving details of the forecast, said that the precipitation might cause no harm as there was no need for panic.
“On January 17, it will be foggy and misty in the morning while there will be rain showers in the afternoon. It will not rain at all places, but the temperature will pick up on the 18th,” she said.
Iso advised motorists and transporters to apply caution and drive with headlights on during the foggy period in the early morning.
According to the report, temperature for the southern part of the country will be between 33 degrees and 35 degrees, with showers expected in the afternoons
