There are fears over the safety of fans who have thronged the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna, Kaduna State to watch the African Cup of Nations qualifier between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Pharaohs of Egypt.
This followed the decision of the Kaduna State Government to throw open the gate of the stadium to fans.
As at 3:30pm, the stadium had become filled to capacity, yet there are more fans outside than inside the stadium.
The Eagle Online correspondents at the stadium are reporting that temper is also rising as those who had bought the ticket for the match before the gate was thrown open have vowed not to leave the entrances until they are let in.
Those who have been able to gain entrance among those who have tickets are equally struggling for seats as the free spectators have taken over all the seats.
There are fears of crowd violence and stampede.
