Embattled Super Eagles Head Coach, Sunday Oliseh, has been handed down what appears to be a final warning by the Nigeria Football Federation after accepting his apology on his recent outburst.
According to the communiqué of its meeting, the executive committee of the NFF, while acknowledging Oliseh’s apology, warned that such occurrence would not be tolerated in the future.
“The Executive Committee reviewed the outing of the Super Eagles at the recently –concluded 4th African Nations Championship and the events that followed, and rebuked Coach Sunday Oliseh for his unwarranted statements unbecoming of a national team coach in both regular and social media. While acknowledging his apology, the Executive Committee made it clear that similar infractions would not be tolerated in future,” the communiqué reads.
In the same vein, the committee has also wittled the power of Oliseh, stressing that unlike in the past, he must now submit lists of invited players and be ready to defend his training programme before the committee.
