Members of the ’94 Super Eagles squad were honoured at the AITEO Awards for the exploits at the Nations Cup and the FIFA World Cup in USA.
Some of the members of the team honoured were: Peter Rufai, Alloy Agu, Augustine Eguavoen, Uche Okechukwu, Mutiu Adepoju, Austin Okocha, Sunday Oliseh, Finidi George, Victor Ikpeba, Samson Siasia, Ndukka Ugbade, Edema Fuludu, Emeka Ezeugo.
Others were Daniel Amokachi, Emmanuel Amuneke, Ben Iroha, Mike Emenalo, Efan Ekoku, Isaac Semitoje, Chidi Nwanu, Late Stephen Keshi, Late Rashidi Yekini, Late Uche Okafor, Late Thompson Oliha and Late Wilfred Agbonivbare.
On behalf of all recipients, Eguavoen thanked Aiteo/NFF but lamented that the houses promised them in 1994 are yet to be delivered to them.
He said the relations of some of the late colleagues will be happy that their fathers brothers did not die in vain.
Oliseh also reminiscence on the bond they had with Keshi’s wife cooking for them.
