NCPC scribe lauds anti-gay law signed by President Jonathan

The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission, John-Kennedy Opara, said on Tuesday that President Goodluck Jonathan’s assent to the same sex marriage was laudable and proper.
Opara made the remark in Abuja while fielding questions at a News Agency of Nigeria Forum.
He said: “Same sex marriage leads to extinction.
“Same sex marriage leads to destruction.
“There is no way my father can say: “I have a son and he looks like him’.
“If he had married another man, what are they going to produce?
“They cannot give birth to anybody.
“A woman married to another woman, they cannot give birth to anybody.
“How do you intend that life continues?
“God created us to help us to be able to move our generation forward.
“He said: ‘Go ye into the world and multiply’.
“A man will leave father and mother and move to the wife and they shall clinch together and they shall become one.
“He did not say I should marry another man.
“It is not worth living for.
“So, I condemn it and resist it.
“And as a man of God, I will preach against it and I will not stand for that kind of thing to exist on this our planet.
“I want to commend Mr. President as well as the National Assembly for standing for what is right.”
Opara said that if the President had done otherwise, then Nigeria would have been heading for destruction.
He said that there was room for gays and lesbians to repent as God does not discriminate anyone that comes to Him in repentance.
On the issue of same sex couple adopting children, Opara lambasted them, querying why they go to adopt children when they chose not to have children.
Opara said: “If you are a lesbian, if you are a gay, why do you want to adopt?
“Because same sex marriage means that you do not believe in procreation.
“Then why do you want to adopt the one born by who?
“Born by heaven?
“It does not make sense.
“If you do not want children, you do not want children.
“It is a different thing if you have biological challenges or hormonal imbalance that you cannot have children.”
Opara also commended the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, for his tough stand against gay marriage.
