Naira loses 73k against dollar

The Naira on Monday depreciated against the dollar, dropping by 73 kobo at the official market.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the Naira was traded at 155.73 against the dollar on Monday, as against N155, which it traded on May 16 at the market.
At the Bureau De Change, the currency was sold at N165 to the dollar as against N167 that it was sold on Friday.
Similarly, it dropped by 75 kobo against the Pound Sterling at the official market, selling at N261.75k, down from N261 it recorded on Friday.
The currency, however, appreciated in transactions at the Bureau De Change, recording N2 gain against pounds sterling.
At the unofficial market, the Naira was sold at N278 as against N280, which it was traded on Friday.
Against the Euro, the Naira also gained N1.43k, selling at N212.57k as against N214 it was sold on Friday.
At the bureau de change, it exchanged at N227 against the Euro, compared with N230 it was sold on Friday, indicating a gain of N3.
