The son of former aide to President Goodluck Johnathan, Ditan Okupe, said his father, Dr. Doyin Okupe, should be jailed for 10 years.
The younger Okupe made his position on his father known on his Twitter handle on Thursday.
Reacting to the prosecution of his father by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for allegedly receiving N700 million from the $2.1 billion said to have been diverted from the fund meant for the purchase of arms and ammunition for the fight against Boko Haram insurgency, Ditan said: “I cant keep quiet about this thing again.
“My father is the most diabolical human being anybody would ever have the misfortune of knowing.
“Everything happening to him now are ramifications of the reckless way he has gone about his life
“I recommend he be given a minimum of 10yrs.”
