Italian football legend, Franco Baresi, has signified his readiness to storm the country for Junior Milan Camp in September.
The camp, sponsored by the Serie A giants, AC Milan, is aimed at assisting budding talents realise their dreams.
Michael Nicholas of the Ossy Royal Limited, who initiated the idea, said the camp is aimed at developing the round leather game in the country.
Nicholas stated that the Italian scouts will go to Calabar, Rivers State to inspect the sport facilities that are available for the exercise, just as they will use the opportunity to meet with the state government.
He said: “We are inviting about 100 players to a screening and the scouts will select 18 of them that will travel to Italy for the final assessment.
“The successful ones will sign contracts with the club.
“Messrs Angelo Laquintana and Antimo Maisto have arrived the country and they have begun with the inspection of the facilities in Calabar.”
The screening exercise, tagged Milan Junior Camp talent hunt, is slated for between August and September in Calabar and AC Milan legend, Franco Baresi, will also be on ground to give pep talk to Nigerian young players about football.
