Manchester United striker, Javier Hernandez, popularly known as Chicharito, and 22 other players were listed by Mexico for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil on Friday.
El Tri, who qualified for the competition via the CONCACAF playoff, after an almighty scare, have gone with other experienced players as usual such as Rafael Marquez and Giovani Dos Santos.
Mexico were drawn in Group A at the World Cup and face Cameroon in Natal on June 13 in their opening game, before playing hosts Brazil in Fortaleza on June 17 and then squaring up against Croatia in Recife on June 23.
Mexico are expected to make it out of their group, along with hosts Brazil, as their poor qualifying campaign was seen as a blip but down to their managerial struggles rather than poor play.
Let’s see how things shake out in South America for Mexico.
