The Speaker, Delta House of Assembly, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, has advised civil servants to remain committed to service delivery in order to earn better welfare package.
Oborevwori gave the advice in a statement signed by the his Chief Press Secretary, Dennis Otu, on Wednesday in Asaba
He congratulated workers in the state on 2019 May Day, and noted that one of the easiest ways to attract better welfare package was for them to remain focused and committed to service delivery.
He said: “I wish to congratulate all workers in Delta on this occasion of Worker’s Day celebration and I want to use this opportunity to commend them for their dedication, sacrifice, commitment and support to the state government.
“I will also use this opportunity to urge civil servants to remain focused and committed to their duties; this is one of easiest ways to attract more and better welfare package.”
Oborevwori commended Governor. Ifeanyi Okowa for his commitment towards improving workers’ welfare.
He said: “We must continue to remain dedicated to our duties and I am also using this occasion to commend the state governor for his friendly nature to workers in the state.
“Our governor is very friendly to workers hence our workers should sustain the support for him.”
