Man rapes daughters, granddaughter ages 13, seven, one

A Lagos State resident, Sylvester Ehijere, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for raping his daughters and granddaughter.
The daughters are aged 13 and seven while the granddaughter is one-year-old.
Ehijere, according to the police, hit his wife, Margaret, with a hammer when she raised objection to the abominable act.
Margaret, 43, first got a hint of the unholy alliance between her husband their 13-year-old daughter when the girl asked if it was proper for her dad to be having carnal knowledge of her.
Margaret took up the issue with Ehijere, who promised not to allow it happen again.
However, she said she later caught Ehijere having sex with not just the 13-year-old daughter but also the seven-year-old daughter and his granddaughter.
She told the police: “That night, my daughter had woken me to ask if it was right for her father to be sleeping with her.
“I was so shocked that I couldn’t respond to her question.
“Instead, I went to confront my husband.
“He confessed that it was true but promised never to repeat such barbaric act again and pleaded for forgiveness.”
But that was not to be.
Margaret added: “After a while, I noticed he had started committing the same atrocity with our second daughter.
“I monitored and caught him but this time he threatened me with hammer and never stopped his barbaric act.”
Margaret was to later suspect Ehijere of committing the same atrocity with their granddaughter.
She said on March 13, 2013 as she was returning from the market, neighbours told her that the one-year-old granddaughter had been screaming for some time and that she should hurry to find out what the issue was.
She found nothing until she made to give her a cold bath to put her to sleep.
And there was blood in her private part.
Spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Ngozi Braide, confirmed the development.
Braide, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said: “This is a serious case against children.
“If he is found guilty, he may face life imprisonment.
“We have concluded our investigation.
“The man will be charged to court on Thursday.”
Ehijere, however, disputed the allegation.
He said it would amount to a waste of time defending himself as no one would believe him.
