The Managing Director of Lagos State Signage and Advertising Agency George Noah, has been announced as the winner of this year’s Lagos State Man of the Year Award.
According to the organizers, Noah won the award having polled the highest number of votes and was therefore declared winner of the prestigious Lagos State Man of the Year 2014.
In his response, Noah thanked the organizers for putting such an award together to recognize exemplary service.
He dedicated the award to the team in LASAA for their unflinching support over the years.
Noah noted: “The award is a vindication of the effort we put into our work at LASAA both individually and collectively as an Agency.
“The award means people are watching us and appreciative of what we are doing to making Lagos better.”
Noah, who joined LASAA in August 2011, has over 30 years experience in the media, having worked with Nigeria’s biggest advertising agency, Insight Communications Limited, and in the UK, Universal Communications Group, the Greater London Council and British Telecom International.
A political activist, Noah was previously the Publisher of Island News and was also a founding member of Radio Kudirat, the anti-military rule radio station that was based in Norway.
Some of the founding members were the late Chief Anthony Enahoro, Prof. Wole Soyinka, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State.
The Lagos State Man Of The Year Award was conceptualized, organized and designed as a credible project of paying tribute to excellence and to identify, recognize and project genuine role models in Lagos State.
Some of the past winners included Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, who is the current Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure in Lagos State.
