The technical crew of Kwara United FC, led by coach Samson Unuanel, has been relieved of its responsibilities forthwith.
The decision was reached at a meeting of the management board on Friday, at the club’s secretariat.
While briefing newsmen after the meeting, the Board Chairman, Barrister Saliu Bamidele Aluko, said that the technical crew has been sacked and those interested among them should re-apply.
Aluko commended them for a job well done in the just concluded season, even as he told them to submit all club properties in their possession to the secretary of the club.
Equally, all the administrative staff of the club have been asked to also re-apply if they are still interested in working with the club.
The players have been asked to proceed on three weeks break ahead of the 2013/2014 Nigeria National League season, which has been fixed to commence in December tentatively.
Aluko added that the management is not willing to allow any player to leave the club.
However, any player who has any reason to leave should signify his intention and follow due process.
The board thanked and appreciated the Kwara State Government under the leadership of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed for his support, the Supporters’ Club, Fans Club and other stakeholders for their support and understanding, even as he assured them that the board will do everything humanly possible to ensure that the team returns to the Premier League very soon.
