Adamu Yahaya and Samson Unuanel, both of Kwara United, have been named the League Bloggers Awards Player and Manager respectively for May.
The Kwara United pair got top marks for their performances in the Nigeria Professional Football League in the month of May.
Yahaya scored four goals in five matches against El-Kanemi Warriors, Dolphins, Lobi Stars and Kano Pillars.
He also had two assists in the month in review.
Kano Pillars playmaker, Rabiu Ali, came closest to knocking off Yahaya from winning the May award.
Others who were in the running for the LBA Player for May included Peter Ebimobowei (Bayelsa United), Sibi Gwar (Enyimba) and the Akwa United duo of Ubong Ekpai and Nnamso Edo.
It was a straight battle between Unuanel and Stanley Eguma of Dolphins for the Manager of May.
Both men guided their teams to four wins and a draw apiece.
But Unuanel simply edged Eguma for the manager’s award by virtue of leading Kwara United to an away game win against Lobi Stars.
Unuanel and Yahaya will be presented with their awards later this month.
