Newly-appointed Sole Administrator of Kogi United and Confluence Queens FCs, Mallam Abdul Adama, has picked Henry Ameh and Owolabi David Ayo as team managers of Kogi United and Confluence Queens respectively.
The approval by Adama was conveyed in a letter signed by the Secretary to the Kogi State Government, Prof. Olugbemiro Jegede on Thursday.
Adama also approved the reinstatement of Alami Ibrahim as the Welfare Officer of Confluence Queens FC, while appointing Samuel Ahmadu as his media assistant.
According to Adama, the appointments take immediate effect.
He charged the team managers to see to the smooth running of Kogi United and Confluence Queens Football Clubs activities ahead of their respective upcoming season campaigns.
He also urged the managers to take their jobs very seriously, with high sense of discipline and full loyalty to ensure they form part of a larger cause for the successful transformation of the two teams and make the state proud.
Adama further tasked the team managers to begin receiving applications for coaching posts for the two clubs within the next one week, while emphasizing the need for impartial judgement in the process.
Until his appointment as team manager of Kogi United FC, Henry Ameh was once a player, assistant coach of Kogi United and head coach of Idah United, while Owolabi David returns as Confluence Queens’ team manager.
