Dariye Dufuan, the father of a former Governor of Plateau State and Senator representing Plateau Central Senatorial District, Chief Joshua Chibi Dariye, has been released unconditionally.
It was gathered that no ransom was paid to secure Dufuan’s release.
Dufuan was released on Thursday night in Qua’anpan Local Government Area of Plateau State.
He was kidnapped on the Saturday night at the family house in Mushere, Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Since then, the house of Senator Dariye had been full of sympathizers across the state and beyond, including Jang and Senator Gyang Pwakok.
Dairye said he was full of praises to God.
Police spokesman in the state, Abuh Emmanuel, confirmed the rescue to our correspondent.
Emmanuel said 87-year-old Dufuan was brought in on Friday morning by the Divisional Police Officer of Qua’anpan Local Government Area to the family house of Senator Dariye in Jos South Local Local Government Area.
