Fenerbache of Turkey star, Emmanuel Emenike and Gbolahan Salami have been assigned the attacking role in tonight’s all-important Nations Cup qualifier against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa at the Cape Town Stadium.
Both strikers started from the bench against Congo in Calabar at the weekend with Warri Wolves striker Salami scoring Nigeria’s second goal in a 3-2 loss. The attack will be joined by CSKA Moscow winger, Ahmed Musa.
Emenike was left on the bench against Congo for arriving late to camp in Calabar.
Israel-based midfielder Nosa Igiebor, who was also a second-half sub has also shot into the starting line up. The former Real Betis of Spain star displaced Ramon Azeez.
Igiebor will play alongside Ogenyi Onazi and Chelsea star, John Obi Mikel in the heart of the Super Eagles midfield.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles’ gaffer, Stephen Keshi kept faith with Austin Ejide in goal while cover will be provided by Elderson Echiejile, Efe Ambrose, Godfrey Oboabona and Kenneth Omeruo.
Kick-off time is 7pm Nigerian time.
