Sheikh Dahiru Lawal-Abubakar, the Chief Imam of Maiduguri Road Central Mosque, Kaduna, Kaduna State, on Wednesday died at the Nigerian Army 44 Reference Hospital.
It can be recalled that the deceased was a judge at the upper Shari’a Court in Makarfi Local Government Area of the state.
He was one of the sons of late renowned Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Lawal Abubakar.
Shuaibu Lawal, a younger brother to the deceased, who confirmed the death in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, said the late Imam was survived by two wives and 20 children.
Lawal stated that the deceased died at the age of 52 during a brief illness, adding that he had been buried according to Islamic rites.
