INEC on Sunday in Kafanchan said Senator Danjuma La’ah of the PDP has beaten APC’s Barnabas Bantex, the Kaduna state Deputy Governor, in Kaura, the latter’s Local Government Area.
Luka Maude, the INEC Returning Officer for Kaura LGA, said La’ah beat Bantex after he polled 29,356 votes, with Bantex getting 9,071 votes.
Maude who announced the results at the Jema’a LGA Secretariat said the result was that of the 10 wards in the Kaura LGA.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that results from the other LGAs in the Kaduna South Senatorial District were still being collated as at the time of filling this report.
