President Goodluck Jonathan is now holding a very crucial meeting with governors that are loyal to the Governor Jonah Jang-led Nigeria Governors’ Forum.
The meeting, which is holding at the Presidential Villa is follows the NGF meeting held earlier on Monday night and presided over by the faction’s Chairman, Governor Jang of Plateau State.
As at the time of filling this report, the number of governors attending the meeting could not be confirmed.
Also, it could not be ascertained what informed the governors’ parley with the President.
Also expected to attend the meeting is Vice President Namadi Sambo; the Chief of Staff to the President, Chief Mike Oghiadomhe; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Anyim Pius Anyim; and few presidential aides.
It will be recalled that Governor Rotimi Amaechi, the recently re-elected NGF chairman, had warned his Plateau state counterpart, Governor Jang, to stop impersonating him when the latter summoned the NGF meeting for Monday.
