President Goodluck Jonathan has announced the cancellation of the meeting with the G7 governors earlier scheduled for Sunday night.
Jonathan, who spoke with State House correspondents on Sunday night at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, also said that he has received the report of the committee that probed the controversial purchase of two BMW cars by the Minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah, for N225 million.
The President, who arrived from the United Kingdom, where he attended the meeting of the Honourary International Investors Council, said that he has fully recovered and was set to resume work on Monday.
He took ill in the United Kingdom.
He was diagnosed of acute stomach ache.
He, however, told newsmen that the meeting with the G7 governors, who are key members of the New Peoples Democratic Party, would not go on as scheduled.
The meeting, the President said, will now hold during the week.
The governors are opposed to Jonathan’s perceived ambition to stand for a second term in 2015.
The President also said that he has received the probe report on Oduah.
Jonathan had shortly after the scandalous purchase of the BMW set up a three-man probe panel.
The panel was headed by a former Head of Service, Alhaji Bello Sali.
The National Security Adviser, retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki, was a member of the committee.
