Alex Iwobi is certainly justifying Frank Lampard’s bold claim that he is ‘one of the best midfielders in the Premier League’.
The Everton star is enjoying an excellent season and put in arguably his best display in a Toffees shirt during their 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon, as Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anthony Gordon and Dwight McNeil fired them to glory.
Iwobi enjoyed a pass accuracy of 87 per cent, having 53 touches of the ball and winning 100 per cent of the tackles he attempted against the Eagles.
The two assists achieved by the former Arsenal man puts him up to five for the season so far.
That puts him joint-second in the Premier League this season, with only Manchester City’s midfield maestro Kevin De Bruyne ahead of him.
