The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Burutai, and the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Saddiq Abubakar, have relocated to Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, as directed by the Acing President, Prof. Femi Osinbajo.
They arrived the Command and Control Centre in Maiduguri on Tuesday.
Major General Ibrahim Attahiru, the Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, disclosed this to newsmen in Maiduguri.
Attahiru said: “Right now, we will be having an interactive session with the Service Chiefs where they will be briefed about the ongoing operation.”
He said their relocation to Maiduguri was imperative toward achieving the overall objectives of the counter-insurgency operation.
He said the Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Olonisakin, and other heads of military commands would also be attending the meeting.
