Controversial actor, Emeka Ike, has stated categorically that he does not support any plan to legalise gay marriage in Nigeria.
Ike was reacting to the rumour going round that he is in support of gay marriage.
The Anambra State born actor cum director, who is on a self-imposed sabbatical from the movie industry, was at Troy Lounge, a celebrity hangout in Ogba, Lagos State, when he made the statement.
He said: “I want to plead with Nigerians not to encourage same sex marriage.
“I don’t hate gays but I do not support the legal union because it is against God’s will.
“Nigerians should not go the way of the United Kingdom because Nigerians are culture oriented people.”
