Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo, is set to donate a multi-million naira orphanage home in Lagos.
The orphanage, according to the Changchun Yatai FC of China star, located in Ijegun, the outskirts of Lagos, will be officially commissioned on December 16.
His words: “I came from a humble background in Ajegunle and I have always prayed to God to bless me so I can support these kids.
“This is my little way of giving back to people. So, we have made provision for the kids to be comfortable as they would have assess to formal education, vocational training, medicals and be exposed to sports.”
Speaking further, the former Watford of England forward revealed that kids would be handed to the orphanage by the Lagos State Government.
Ighalo said: “I’m going to monitor the activities of the home on a daily basis in order to sustain the best practice.
“So, I’m going to pay the staff from my pocket until support comes.”
