Hasaacas Ladies FC of Ghana defeated Rivers Angels of Nigeria 3-1 in the final of the 2021 West African Football Union (WAFU-B) Zonal Qualifiers for TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League.
The Ghanaians didn’t waste time as they scored the opening goal of the game as early as the first minute via Veronica Appiah’s goal from a goalmouth scramble.
Eight minutes later, Vivian Ikechukwu equalised for Rivers Angels with her first goal of the tournament.
Three minutes before halftime, Agyetum Perpetual restored Hasaacas Ladies FC’s lead before Azuma Bugre made it 3-1 in the 68th minute.
Hasaacas Ladies FC thus revenged their 2-0 defeat to the Nigerian Champions when both sides met in the group stage.
The two Clubs will represent WAFU-B Zone at the Inaugural TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League in Egypt later this year.
