Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, on Thursday restated the commitment of his administration to serve the people of the state.
Ganduje made the pledge in Kano at the swearing in of Hajiya Yar-dada Bichi as the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development.
He said that his administration would continue to pursue the developmental aspirations of the people.
While congratulating the new commissioner, Ganduje noted that Bichi was now saddled with more responsibilities: to both the government and people of the state.
In her response, Bichi thanked the governor for the confidence reposed on her.
She promised to work with other members of the state executive council to bring more development to the people of the state.
Previous reports reveal that Bichi’s inauguration followed her clearance by the state Assembly after being nominated by the governor.
